Pigeon Point Beach: Beautiful beach in Tobago with sparking aquamarine water

Overview of Pigeon Point, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago:
As the Pigeon Point Heritage Park (PPHP) is also known the Pigeon Point and as Tobago’s most beautiful beach often considered. The famous thatch-roofed jetty it is the home, for Tobago an internationally recognized signature which has become. With the warm aquamarine waters a long stretch of white sand beach includes the Pigeon Point. Like the showers, beach chair rentals, bathrooms as well as the restaurant and bars there are excellent beach facilities. Include the water-sports shops and souvenir there are amenities for the tourists.


In the southwest Tobago with all the Caribbean amenities the bone white sand, the aquamarine water which is sparking and the swaying of the coconut trees this beach is reach. For at least a couple of hours of beach time to this beach the visitors need to make a special trip.


The short history of Pigeon Point:
Unfortunately over the recent years of the major controversy the peninsula has been the subject after by the Dr. Anthony Sabga, the Trinidad-based Ansa McAl conglomerate’s founder and chairman the property was brought. The property to purchase the government promised in early 2005, if necessary by the compulsory purchase order. In the late 2005 at a cost of $106 million TT dollars a deal was struck and of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) the peninsula become the property.


Into the Heritage Park in developing the property Dr. Sabga had spent considerable personal energy and an amount of time and by the THA who maintain the property now are still being practiced the systems and practices what Dr. Sabga had established. For usage of the facility was the establishment of an entry fee the controversy that surrounded PPHP. To purchase the property and to the government control return it even after this remains. Per person is set at TT $20 (US $3.33/£2) the entry fee to PPHP though children under 6 are free and half price for the children aged 6 to 12.


When to visit & month based events:
When the skies stay clear from January to May is the best time to visit the Pigeon Point in Trinidad and Tobago. Although on the hurricane belt isn’t the island, from June to December are daily occurrences the afternoon rain showers. For this rainy season to accommodate hotels lower their rates. Year round stays pleasant the weather at least, hovering in the low 80s there’s average temperature and little humidity.

● Trinidad carnival which held in late February to early March
● Tobago International Game Fishing Tournament in March
● Bucco Goat and Crab Race Festival in April
● Tobago’s Heritage Festival in July
● Emancipation Celebrations in July to August
● San Fernando Jazz Festival in October
● Diwali in November


How to get Pigeon Point:
The car is the best way to get around the Pigeon Point which the visitors can rent from the Tobago’s Crown Point International Airport (TAB) or from the Trinidad’s Picarco International Airport (POS). On much exploring if the visitors don’t plan with the cheap taxi by just fine they can get. The busses are rather unreliable though the buses are available. To switch the island when you are ready, at Port of Spain or Scarborough to the docks head down and one of the private ferries board on.
