In Greece Delphi is the one of the most popular archaeological site after the Acropolis. From Athens located 180 kilometers away, in just about every tour itinerary is listed a trip to Delphi and the day trip which is the most popular out of the Athens is by far.

Hiatory of Delphi
Why they are going to Delphi many visitor don’t know even. When they go to Greece they are supposed to do it’s just something they know. Delphi has a special meaning for those people who read and explore for experience the past in a country more than just another collection of ruins of them which is full. In the known world Delphi was considered as the center in the ancient times. Where man was closest to the God on earth this was the place. Released by the Zeus and sent to the accurate opposite directions Delphi was the meeting place of the two eagles according to the Mythology. Indicated the center of the earth where they met. For the God Apollo who was the son of Zeus and the moral discipline and spiritual clarity embodied as the center of worship Delphi is known. Including the earth goddess Gea, Demeter, Themis and the well-known god of the sea Poseidon and other deities here worshiped even before the area was associated with the Apollo. Apollo had displaced the other deities by the end of the Mycenaean period and for the oracle became the guardian. A PanHellenic sanctuary Delphi was to become, where in the Pythian Games every four years from all over the Greek world athletes competed, among the PanHellenic games one of them, for the modern Olympics the precursors.

Oracle of Delphi
There was a spiritual experience in the oracle of Delphi relating to the affairs of the state or to the people’s lives for advice on critical matters the spirit of Apollo was asked, to the Pythia the questions were asked or who channeled the spirit of the God the priestess, that people are now channel to Jesus in the same way or by the other various spirits of disembodied with their advice who have not helped only the people but on the top of the bestseller lists kept their channels. This is an individual thing whether in the channeling of God or sprits. But in Delphi for the several thousand of years there was going on something magical must realize that even the most skeptical person and makes some visitors believe there is still magic here, a millions of visitors this town still attacks the fact is that.

The visitors claimed they have felt something the visitors who come to Delphi. But it depends on the belief and receptivity system. But in Delphi the spirit of Apollo still resides and thousands of years ago as he was, there are those people too who believe that. For answering the question he is available now still and for the state affairs and for personal reasons gives advice. On the itinerary of visiting dignitaries is also a visit to the Delphi, one might keep in mind that and would be a short one who have not visited the sacred oracle the list of the Greek politicians. For though just the food, may be an enriching experience visiting the Delphi.
