Falassarna Beach: The beach with northerly and westerly winds

About Falassarna Beach, Crete, Greece:
On the west Crete is located the Falassarna Beach. In Chania Prefecture among the small resort boasting best known beaches Falassarna Beach is one of them, every summer a large number of tourist which attracts. Thanks to its ecological interest and to the beaches because for those nowadays become famous certain destination is the Falassarna Beach. As an area of amazing natural beauty and due to both of its variety of fauna and flora Falassarna Beach come the part of Natura 2000 network.


After the village of Plantanos looking towards Falassarna Beach from the hill place, for growing fruit and vegetables as the ideal site you will see many greenhouses. Divided by sand dunes in front of you there are two beaches, known as the Pachia Ammos is the longer and wider which is the south beach. Further south from this beaches there are two more beaches, with rock on the bottom a sandy beach, and next to the a little harbor a pebble beach.


Overview of Falassarna Beach:
In Crete for being the, most beautiful beach Falassarna Beach has won the price and with its fine white and warm sand, crystal clear water and wonderful nature is always in Europe one of the top ten beaches is the Falassarna Beach. In high summer season the beach of Pachia Ammos is rarely feels overcrowded because it is so big, even by the hundreds of people when you surrounded by.


By the northerly and westerly winds the beach is exposed, the only drawback for the beach, so often large waves there are. But of course to the windsurfers this all makes it more attractive. Covering most of the area with umbrella and lounges is fully organized the Falassarna Beach. However who would bring their own beach umbrella and towel for those people there are several free spots.


On the beach there are two bars and cafes which providing water, coffee or snacks. In the evening are often organized the beach party, for the leave don’t get in any hurry, as the sun goes down begins the fun, and in Crete admittedly it has one of the most impressive sunset. On the beach are available the watersports while for the beach volley there is also an area.


How to get in Falassarna Beach:
From the Chania 59 kilometer faraway is the Falassarna Beach. From Chania to Kissamos (Kastelli) by taking the National Road you can get there. Through Kissamos (Kastelli) after passing, to Platanos continue and to the Falassarna follow the signs. Avobe the Falassarna Beach on reaching the hill, spread out at your feet you will see the three kilometers beach. From the hill about 3 kilometers is the beach, along with a winding and fairly narrow road, so if at night you are driving or in the busy summer season you should be careful. Falassarna Beach is extremely popular among the visitors. So from Chania and Kastelli to the beach there are daily buses, even if the visitors haven’t got their own transport it’s easy to get there.
