In the north of Britain by 122 A.D. when Roman army couldn’t defeated the “barbarians”, to keep them out from south of the present Scottish-England border Emperor Hadrian built slightly this stone wall. About their undefeated pride the Hadrian’s Wall remains a source of pride among the today’s “barbarian” Scots. The 84 mile long path of Hadrian’s Wall parallels with the National Trail. Every year about 1.2 million visitor come to this archaeological site according to the Visit England.
Roman Baths, Bath, England
With the streaming water upon a hot spring Bath was founded and in its history the hot spring and streaming water plays a key role. Around the 70 A.D. as a socializing complex and a grand bathing the Roman Baths were built in the heart of the city. In the world now it is one of the best preserved Roman structure which remains.
Still today in the bathing site every single day reaching 46 degree Celsius about 1,170,000 liters of hot spring streaming water. This was the mystical act of the Gods the Roman believed that but now about the water source we know, from the King’s Spring this water comes from, around 10,000 B.C. which fell as the rain water.
The visitors can bath, can explore the complex which is magnificent and onto the cobbled pathway they can walk and about 2,000 year ago Romans did the same things. From the Terrace the Great Bath can also be viewed and this bath lies below the level of the street. This bath is decorated with the statues and by the great Abbey it shadowed. There are ancient changing rooms and heated room as well as plunge pools and tepid to explore. There are the Beau Street Hoard, Costumed Characters, Audioguides, Twilight tour and dinner, Venue hire and some Roman Sites for the visitors. The Roman Baths are open for the visitors until 10 pm during the July and August.
According to the Association of Leading Visitor Attraction (ALVA) every year 1.1 million visitors come to the Roman Baths. As sacred the Celts first declared these hoy springs and to their Goddess Sulis dedicated them. After the arrival of the Roman in 43 A.D. into their Goddess Minerva they co-opted Sulis and with the Temple of Sulis Minerva and bath complex in the center of the town they built the spa town Aquae Sulis.
