At the Borobudur what to see:

Based on the Mahayana text Gandavyuha depict the scenes most of the 460 panels, from the text of Badracari are derived while the concluding scenes.

On the three circular terraces of upmost in the last, there the circle with 72 stupas, crowns the top of the temple the huge main stupa. Without beginning and without end the eternity represents the circular form, of formless world a pure, tranquil and superlative state. On the three circular terraces there are no reliefs.

On the upper levels all but the largest central stupas of the Buddha Kneeling more or less a life sized statue contain, although are missing or damaged many of these statues. Along the lower levels there are also many alcoves, similar statues which contains but as well missing or damaged many of these.

How to get in the Borobudur:
By car takes an hour getting from Yogyakarta to Borobudur. At the airport can easily be rented vehicles with the driver or you can do it from the hotel, per day it will cost you about $35. From both Jakarta and Bali to Yogyakarta in a day there are several flights. For both is about one hour the flight time. By minibus from Bali is possible traveling overland, but on busy roads up to 24 hours may take. In a day there are several trains from Jakarta, for air-conditioned first class it will cost you about $15, between 7 and 10 hours which can take.

Few words:
In the Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia the Borobudur is a 9th century temple of Mahayana Buddhist. Topped by the three circular platforms of six square platforms the monument consists and with 504 Buddha statue and 2,672 relief panels is decorated. At the center of the top platform located a main dome, by 72 Buddha statues is surrounding. World’s largest Buddhist temple this is, in the world as well as among the Buddhist monuments one of the greatest. In Javanese Buddhist architecture the Borobudur was designed, the influences of Gupta art also demonstrates the temple. To make the Borobudur uniquely Indonesian there are enough elements incorporated and indigenous scenes too yet. To the Lord Buddha the monument is a shrine and for the Buddhist pilgrim this is a place of pilgrimage.
