Travel Machu Picchu: One of the most visited ancient ruin site in Peru

Machu Picchu is a well-known visiting place for the visitor all over the world which located in Peru. Visitor visit this place with high expectation to experience the past historical days. In the number of total visitors from home and abroad no other South American archaeological come close to this place. Only Sacsayhuaman is comparable with Machu Picchu for the architectural audacity and sheer scale which usually known as a part of this site.

As any on the planet the visitor will find this site as engaging and enchanting with the right approach and by a careful planning. A 550 year old citadel is the draw of Machu Picchu which was built by the vastest and advance pre-Columbian society between the two forest-clad Andean peaks of a saddle in the spectacular setting which has been enough to recognize a city. Above the sea level its height is 7,973 feet. This is large and the size of the ruins almost like a village combined with the Wilderness Park and adjoining forest. The UNESCO described it as the “historical sanctuary”. The area of this site is about 116 square miles. The functions of this city were partly religious and partly residential but we can only guessing about its academic importance and about its cosmic position, and for that this city is counted as a mysterious place.

In the humid subtropical forest the Machu Picchu is located, for several endangered spices, ferns and palms and notably the spectacled bear provided a habitat which is protected.  

Travelling time:

In July and August Machu Picchu is become the busiest place and it is the peak season for the visitors and at the not quite so wet season also. In the Andean foothills it is never totally dry and at some stage of the visit to the peaks mist clinging and probably get showers. Here the rainy season stay from November to April, the wettest months are the January and February, so if the visitors want to avoid the crowd the months from November to April is the perfect time but should be aware of rain.

Trip on budget

Around the Peru visitors can do an independent trip, they can visit the Cuzco and Lima and after that to walk the Classic Inca Trail visitors can join with an English speaking group. On the trail on journey in Latin America visitors get three nights, using the porters and tents, the Dead Woman’s pass crossing over which height is 13,780 feet, and near Machu Picchu a fourth night which cost per person £614.

Around the 1400 A.D the construction of this city was began, 2011 was the 100th anniversary of this city’s discover by researcher Hiram Bingham and this place got a million visitors and about the site’s preservation concerns the voiced, the visitors number limits in future to 2,500 per day and 912,500 per year by the authorities.
