The Anuradhapura once of the Sri Lankan civilization was a major city and known as the scared city of Anuradhapura now is the ruins which are picturesque. In Anuradhapura housed the Archaeological Survey of Ceylon’s headquarter. Today the Anuradhapura the splendid sacred city, many Buddhist visitors and pilgrims draws with its monuments, palaces and monasteries.
At the Anuradhapura what to see:
At Anuradhapura there are many things to see which includes the monuments, 8 major palaces, monasteries and of course the scared Bodhi Tree.
In the world the oldest living tree is perhaps the Sri Maha Bodhiya. The enlightenment the Buddha attained under which of the Bodhi Tree a branch brought with her the Sanghamitta Their.
