In France in Upper Normandy some of the best and well known sights are the white cliffs of Etretat and other three rock arches which are natural and today it become a popular destination of day trip. For the white chalk cliffs and for the three natural arches us famous the Etretat over the Atlantic Ocean what tower high. Freely accessible these wonders of the nature, as well as the white pebble beach also. In the 19th century the cliffs and arches famously painted the Claude Monet and many other Impressionists. In the town spent most of the childhood while the Guy du Maupassant was based here a story of Arsen Lupin. In Normandy from other sights and towns a well-known and popular day trip destination making the Etretat fairly is too pretty the center of the old town.

At Etretat Cliffs and Arches what to see and do:
In the Upper Normandy (the Seine-Maritime Department of Haute Normandie) on the English Channel the Etretat is town of coastal resort, for the white cliffs, natural arches is famous and from the white shingle beach and oceanfront boardwalk can be seen all this things. Via steep paths easily are scaled the cliffs of Etretat, the safety railing are few and far as it a natural site and with the small children when travelling especially should be taken extra care. Although here the most ridiculous risks tend to take the young adults it seems.

From visitors any effort without requiring can be seen two natural arches and the Etretat white cliffs from the boardwalk and from the beach, from the town cannot be seen the largest arch which is the largest one. The sea when facing to the left which is the southwest there are the Aigulle and the Falaise Avala (and the larger Manneporte arch further on) and to the right which is the northwest there located the Falaise Amont. To the present coastline running parallel by an underground river were formed originally these natural arches but enlarge them has further the sea.

From the boardwalk from either end lead directly to the top of the rocks the steps and the path. From the either end the views are magnificent but more popular are the third arch and with the needle the further sights of the Falaise Aval. From the beachfront once away are available no water or toilets. For each side about an hour require doing the rocks. Advisable is the sturdy footwear but it is not essential actually.

The Falaise Aval –
The Falaise Aval either can scale the visitors or at low tide through the arches can walk. The warning posted you should do note, before high tide four hours at least set out only otherwise will be flooded the return route. A six hours wait minimum it requires or for help if called a very expensive ride of boat it requires.

Via the designate path to scale the rock is much safer and popular too. The Second World War bunker from the German, of the white chalk cliffs up to the top leads the route. The magnificent views of the beach, Etretat, ocean and the cliffs as well as of the end on the opposite end the Falaise Amont can enjoy the visitors. On a busy day even can be annoying free or empty of this rock at the top the parking lot.
