Holy Mosque: The holiest mosque for Muslims in the World (Part – 2)

The History of the Holy Mosque:
With domes for the prayer hall the flat roof replace the Sinan, from the Shams Mountain of nearby of new columns by the addition were supported. With the gilded calligraphy were decorated the interior of the domes.

In 1611 due to the damaging because of rain, in 1629 under the Sultan Murad IV (from 1623 to 1640) restored was once again the mosque. With the slender columns a new stone arcade it received and between the arches the inscriptive medallions. With the new marble tiles which were colored were replaced around the Kaaba the floor tiles and seven minarets was given the mosque.

By the King Abdul Aziz (from 1932 to 1953) was commissioned under the Saudi Kings of the many extensions the first one between the 1955 and 1973. For the renovations as the part, to reach the mosque was extended with al-Marwah connecting the Rock of al-Safa the Masa gallery. In artificial stone and carved marble of reinforced concrete arches clad was built the extension of the two story, with the street which communicates and via eleven doors of the mosque.

By the King Fahd (from 1982 to present) sponsored a major extension of a new wing which consisted and of the mosque in the southeast side an outdoor prayer area. In the wing of two story, below the tiled floors circulates the air conditioning and is through the ventilation grids is supplied of each column at the base which located. With the previous constructions blends in of the extension the façade, from the Fatimah Mountain facing with gray marble and carved bands of white marble.

With the white and black voussoirs of three arches consists the monumental King Fahd Gate and with the white carved marble decorated, the older ones matching by two new minarets flanked. With the brass mashrabiyya are covered the windows and of white marble with carved bands framed. Sloped canopies of green tiled have the minor gates.

Few words:
The Holy Mosque is known in several names all over the world such as the Masjid al-Sharif, Haram, Al-Masjid al-Haram and al-Haram Mosque, this is the holiest shrines mosque for the Muslims and also the top pilgrimage destination. The present style of the mosque is the Ottoman Empire, the present style dates from the 16th century to 20th century, the Holy Mosque is active as its status. The Holy Mosque is situated in the Mecca city of Saudi Arabia, to the Muslims it’s always open, to enter the mosque are not permitted the non-Muslims.

There are many hotels in and surrounding the Mecca to accommodate the visitors and pilgrimage like the Movenpick Hotel & Residence Hajar Tower Makkah, Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana – Makkah, Hilton Suitess Makkah, Royal Dar Eiman, Makkah Hilton Hotel, Pullman ZamZam Makkah, Anjum Makkah Hotel, Makkah Hilton Towers, Makarim Ajyad Makkah Hotel, Le Meridien Makkha, Nawazi Watheer Hotel, Elaf Bakkah Hotel and Le Meridien Towers Makkah etc. Maximum hotel are located in a closing distance of the Holy Mosque in Mecca.
