In the northern Mozambique at the Indian Ocean one of the Quirimbas Islands is the Ibo. For the Cabo Delgado province it is the part. As a trading port of the Muslim it grew. In 1502 reportedly rested on this island the Vasco da Gama. By the Portuguese in 1609 was fortified this island.
