Boracay: Island with one of the longest beach of the World

Surrounded by stunning white sand beaches Boracay is a tropical island. Just off the large Philippines island of Panay from the Manila and Cebu about an hour’s flight. With the more popular destinations with the best beaches such as the South Pacific, Caribbean, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand it competes for beaches connoisseurs. Wanting to lounge around just and their tan top up for those visitors usually have lounge chairs set up by the beach front hotels from the hotels main entrance just a few steps away. There are water sports and activities like snorkeling, surfing, jet skiing and diving. When the sun sets doesn’t end the fun of the Boracay. With many bars and restaurants Boracay night life pulsates by serving the food, and until the dawn drink and fun.

Areas of Boracay’s White Beach:

Into five areas White Beach is divided. They are –

● Area 1: From Boracay Terraces (North) to Willy’s Rock

● Area 2: From the Willy’s Rock to Red Coconut Resort

● Area 3: From the Red Coconut to Boat Station 2

● Area 4: From the Boat Station 2 to Station 3

● Area 5: From the Boat Station 3 to Angol Point

Equipped with life buoy, hand held radio and whistle on foot patrolling there are two lifeguards in every station. The lifeguard and rescue command center is the boat station 2.

Climate of Boracay:

White beach is very suitable for swimming and calm during the summer season from November to May locally which also known as Amihan. There are huge waves and large winds in the other side of the island which makes it more suitable for windsurfing and kite surfing.

This situation is reversed during the rainy season from June to October which locally known as Habagat, there are risk of typhoons although by the mountains of Cebu and Negros to the southeast this area of the Philippines is protected relatively from the worst weather. At this time White Beach often gets large waves and winds which sometimes for swimming makes it unsuitable.

What to explore in Boracay:

White beach –

Most of the visitor come here for this place. Against the azure water it is not only a lovely powdery white stretch sand, for the island it is also the commercial center. Into three sections the long beach is divided, they are Station 1, Station 2 and Station 3. The northernmost is the Station 1 and among the beachfronts has the wildest one, where are located the prime hotels and resorts.

Here are pricier the accommodations but as well generally quality is the best. For the White Beach the commercial and geographical center is the Station 2. For the shopping, partying, eating etc. this is the center. And this is also the most crowded place of the beach and also very noisiest. The southernmost section is the Station 3. This station is quitter than the Station 2. This place is least developed and the prices also low here. From the Station 1 to Station 3 total area of 4 kilometers is open for the visitors. So the visitors can swim or relax whatever they want.
