By the train overnight –
In 2008 of the Ginga express train with the discontinuation was abolished on a daily basis between Tokyo and Kyoto the direct overnight train. In 2012 from regular service when was removed another overnight train became moot via northern Japan an alternative route. Between these two cities at night to travel now taking the bus is the easiest way as the result.
There are also car, bus services from Itami to the Kyoto.
Getting around the Kyoto:
The city of the Kyoto the sheer size and around the periphery of the city the distribution of the travelers attractions, make invaluable the city’s public transport system.
Through Hypersia or Kurage to plan a route is one of the easiest way. There are many websites which contain the route plans from station to station, public and private trains which reference and throughout Japan subways as well as the buses.
Beyond the city limits if you are planning to travel using the tickets from Surutto Kansai you might consider. There are some other useful tickets in the western Japan which includes the Kyoto too, a smart card which is rechargeable, the ICOCA, in the Kansai and Okayama, Tokyo (in the JR East trains), Nagoya (in the Kintetsu trains) and Hiroshima area on rail, bus and subway networks can be used. At these rail stations at the vending machines these cards are available, and ¥2,000 costs, a ¥500 deposit which includes at the JR West Station when the card is returned that will be refunded. There are some other useful tickets only in Kyoto for use –
● As a one day (for adults costs ¥1,200 and for children costs ¥600) or two day (for adults ¥2,000 and for children ¥1,000) pass can be purchased the Kyoto Sightseeing Card. By the subways –
Two subway lines there are, a rather small part of the city which only serves. Under the Kyoto Station runs the north-south running Karasuma Line, and with its near the city center links the west-east running Tozai Line. In the city center for travel both are useful but for temple hopping not really suitable. With the keihan Line does connect the Tozai Line, however, to the Kamo-gawa which runs parallel, and for reaching southern Kyoto and Gion is convenient, in eastern Kyoto of many of the sights within a short walk it also gets you. Costs ¥600 for the subway a one day pass.
The visitors can use trains, buses and bicycle to explore the city. For further information you can visit the official page of the Kyoto city.
