About the Charleston, South Carolina, USA: 
In the United States of America at the state of South Carolina a seaport city is the Charleston. Two rivers the Cooper and Ashley into the Atlantic Ocean which flowing formed on the peninsula located the historic downtown of its and by the islands of surrounding from the open Atlantic ocean protected. Without the damage of the property so much in the Civil War was captured the Charleston, so about hundreds of years old has the buildings of the historical part of the town.

The present skyline of the down town which are not so tall because of the ordinance of height restriction of this town, by the steeples of the church and over the Cooper Rivers in 2005 which completed the Arthur Ravenel cable stay bridge what is stunning also is dominated the skyline of this city. For the USA on the seaboard of eastern a major port is the Charleston and for the tourist and visitors of international and domestic a popular travel destination.

The history of the Charleston:
This town is first called as the Charles Towne, from the current downtown northwest of about a few miles on the Charles Towne Landing of the Ashley River on the bank of west by the Anthony Ashley Cooper in 1670 this town established. This settlement had grown gradually by the 1680 and to the current location of its of the peninsula moved then.

The defense of its to aid more this small settlement around a wall of fortification erected the English colonists in 1690. From the East Bay St. to Meeting St. and from the Water St. to Cumberland St. of now the French Quarter the area sheltered by this wall. In 1720 was destroyed this wall, from this walled town of the English colonial only remains one building and the cobblestone lanes, where was stored then of gunpowder for the supply of this town the Powder Magazine. The Old Exchange Building beneath were found the remnants of this wall of the English colonial.

Fortunately with the property damaged of so much during the Civil War of USA was recaptured the Charleston and the ordinance of historical preservation to pass in the USA the first city was the Charleston. Thus to enjoy and see the remains of the Victorian, Italianate, Federal, Colonial, Greek Revival and Georgian the beautiful architecture much of them preserves for the future generations.
For the steeples of churches of numerous as the Holy City is considered the Charleston, the skyline of the city which rising low dot by these steeples, and to the Jews as well as the Huguenots of French to the tolerance of religious to provide in the colonies of original thirteen among the few places it was one in fact.

Sophisticated but also a laid back of general is the Charleston, just like the Savannah which is its neighbor an old feel of south has the Charleston. In a manner of proper and polite when approached to the people are helpful in the Charleston most of the people. They can as best willing to help still the Charlestonians if little English speaks the visitors even.
